Cherokee Industrial Tires, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Larry and Kathy Koon. Kathy Koon is the President and primary owner; therefore we are a woman-owned business.

Cherokee Industrial Tires, Inc. primarily covered the state of S.C. and the Augusta, GA market until the year 2000 when we acquired a division of another forklift tire company in Raleigh N.C. Out of our Raleigh, NC facility, we go as far West as High Point, NC and surrounding areas and to the East we cover all the way out to the coast.

We go south all the way to the SC line. We then went on to expand our operations out of Raleigh to cover the Richmond, VA area. We cover from I-85 and I-95 East in Virginia.

In early 2002, we established a store in Greenville, SC that covers the entire upstate region of SC. We go as far west as Athens, GA. On the east side we go all the way to Hickory, NC.

In mid 2002, we established a store in Charleston, SC to give more direct coverage to the coastal region of this great state! We cover from North Myrtle Beach on the north side all the way down to Savannah, GA and surrounding areas on the south side.

On May 1, 2005 we opened our Savannah, GA location and hired a full time service technician. He handles work from just north of the SC line to Brunswick, GA and as far East as Vidalia, GA.

Our Ashville, NC started up on July 8, 2006. We hired a well respected press technician that has covered this area for many years! With this store opening it allowed us to give prompt service to the Western NC area and a small portion of Eastern Tennessee. He also covers as far east as Hickory, NC to assist the Greenville, NC store.

The newest store is located near Akron, Ohio. It was opened up in April 2007 to service the Akron / Canton Area as well as the Cleveland Market.

We now serve 13 states and growing: South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, Arizona, Missouri, Virginia, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, & Kentucky.
